Poem - Silent Cafe
Something found while organizing old notebooks sealed away from my college days. Reading it now, it carries an inexplicable charm, so I'm posting it on the blog as a memento.
Shall we drink a cup together? Tick-tock, we face each other empty-handed in the dark night. Taking a sip, a faint frown appears. What is it that is so bitter? A slight tinge of hidden resentment, dissolving not for a long time. Scraping the tip of the tongue, the scalding and stinging obsession. Add a little creamer, you said, Let time gracefully draw an arc. But I stir and stir, taking a smell, Yet still I gently set it down... To drink or not to drink? The clock on the wall continues to tick. Tick, tock, tick, tock.
